UBA Foundation: Cycling for Prostrate Cancer

Participate in this prostate cancer awareness initiative of UBA Foundation schedled to take place on Saturday, March 22, 2014 by 7.00AM in Lagos 
We will cycle through a designated route from UBA Head Office, 57 marina, Lagos to the Nation Stadium, Lagos. Interested cyclists should jion us, fully kitted with helmets and other riding gear.
Please note that cyclists not wearing helmets will not be allowed in line with safety and traffic regulations
There will be free prostate cancer screening at the  National stadium, Surulere, Lagos; Miliennium Park, Abuja; UBA Business Office, 49 Nike Lake Road, Trans-Ekulu, Enugu; and 94, Trans Amadi, Port Harcourt,
Facts on Prostate Cancer
• Men are 35% more likely to be diagnosed with prostate cancer then women with breast cancer
• 1 in 38 men between the ages of 40-59 years gets diagnosed with Prostate Cancer
• There is high risk of being diagnosed with prostate cancer if a close family member (father, Brother) has had it.
• The cure rate for prostate cancer is very high, Nearly 100% of men diagnosed at early stages will be disease-free after five years
