International Standard for Laboratory Quality Management & Competency (ISO/ IEC 17025) Training Abuja Region 

 

The National Quality Infrastructure Project implemented by UNIDO and funded by the EU has prepared a tailor made program to assist Nigerian laboratories to implement policies and procedures to meetthe ISO/IEC 17025 standard. 

 

Training sessions will be provided across Nigeria between October 2015 and March 2016 targeting Testing and Calibration Laboratories for Food and Beverage Pharmaceutical, Water, Soil, Construction, and Light Manufacturing Industries; More particularly laboratories working on the following priority products and their value chains: shea butter, palm kernel derivatives, leather, cassava and artisanal small-scale gold and gemstone mining. The training will be provided in Phases. 

 

INITIAL PROGRAMME: 

•  a 5-day course for those Quality Management (QM) or Quality Control (QC) laboratory staff that are going to implement ISO/IEC 17025 standard in their Laboratories; 

•  a 1-day course for laboratory Managers and Directors; and 

•  some preliminary consultation to lab staff to assist them complete the implementation of the ISO/IEC 17025 standard requirements.

Individual preliminary consulting sessions of 2 -3 hours for each lab will be organized with our expert at a mutually convenient time the week following the course,
