Ultimatum: Contractors in Imo have 6 months to Deliver 27 Hospitals

Imo Governor, Rochas Okorocha, is not a happy man. And for good reason.

He is utterly displeased with the sluggishness of the contractors in charge of constructing the 27 ultra-modern general hospitals in all the local government areas of his state.

During an inspection of one of the construction sites in Agbala in Owerri North local government, he got so upset with the level of work that he gave all the contractors six months to complete their assignments and hand them over to the state government.

Any contractor who fails to deliver by the end of the deadline would face a revocation.

The message to all government contractors? Okorocha will not tolerate any delay to his “Rescue Mission”.

He described as unacceptable, a situation where the projects experience delays despite the fact that the state government had provided the funds to execute the projects.

He emphasised that the vision of his government is to ensure that the health sector is a destination for sick persons from all over the country.
