The control of infection unit of the department of Medical Microbiology of the University College Hospital, Ibadan, is organizing a Training Course on Surveillance, Prevention and Control of Hospital Acquired Infections. The course which will run for six (6) weeks will be held form 11th August to 19th September, 2014.

 

The programme will provide basic training in the Control of Hospital Infection and this course is very essential for Health Care Workers to improve patient care in line with best global practices.

 

Course Contents: 

Lectures, Practical Sessions and a complete Project work on an aspect of Infection Control. 

 

Eligible Participants

Nursing Personnel working in the clinical areas.

Medical officers.

Medical Laboratory Scientists.

Environmental Health Officers.

 

Note: Applicants must show evidence of sponsorship by their institutions or employers. 

Accommodation: The Course is non-residential. Candidates are expected to make individual arrangements for their accommodation in Ibadan. 

Course Fee: (N50,000) Fifty thousand Naira only. 

Method of Application: Forms can be obtained with a non-refundable fee of five hundred Naira (500.00) from the Infection Control Unit, Department of Medical Microbiology, University College Hospital, Ibadan.
