INTERNAL AND  EXETERNAL ADVERTISEMENT VACANCY FOR THE POST OF REGISTRAR/CHIRF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

The Board of Management of the Medical Rehabilitation Therapists (Reg.) Board of Nigeria, [MRTB), Central Medical Library Compound, Yaba, Lagos, hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the post of Registrar/Chief Executive officer of the Board 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

The Reg. /CEO shall be: 

(a) the Chief accounting officer of the Board 

(b) in charge of the day-to-day administrative management of the affairs of the Board. 

(c) the secretary to the Board of management during Board meetings and proceedings 

(d) charged with the responsibility to carry out/execute all directives and policy guidelines of the Board of management. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Candidates aspiring for the post of Registrar/CEO must fulfill the underlisted criteria: 

(1) be a degree holder in any of the Medical Rehabilitation 

Therapy professions in the Country namely: 

Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Chiropractic & Osteopathic Medicine. 

(2) possess current practicing licence of the Board 

(3) have a postgraduate qualification in relevant fields (M.Sc. PhD) 

(4) Possession of master degree in Business Administration (MBA), public Administration (MPA). M.Sc. in Hospital Administration, Mni, and evidence of Research and scientific publications are added advantages. 

(5) should not be less than 12 years post qualification working experience in the field of Medical Rehabilitation Therapy. 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALITIES 

(1) The candidates must show evidence of high level managerial skills and experience in administration. 

(2) Must have good track records of employment from the point of engagement to the point of his/her application: 

(3) Must be persons of courage, who can take decisions on the basis of merit, facts and principles 

(4) Must be of impeccable character with proven qalities of dynamic leadership

REMUNERATION

The salary is consolidated and the successful appointee shall enjoy the benefits of the office as applicable to the Chief 

Executives officers of Federal Parastatals and as may be approved from time to time by the federal Government of Nigeria. 

TENURE OF OFFICE 

The appointment is for a term of four (4) years in the first instance and renewable. for another four (4) years thereafter. 

subject to satisfactory performance during the 1 st term.
