Veterinary Council of Nigeria (VCN) 2014 Professional Continuing Education Seminar

As part of its statutory function, the veterinary council of Nigeria announces its annual Professional continuing education seminar for 2014 as follows:
SOUTHERN CENTRE: 14th August 2014 at international conference center, owerri imo state
NORTHERN CENTER: 28th august 2014 at University auditorium, university of ilorin, kwara state
 
TIME: 9:00am
THEME OF THE SEMINAR: Advancing veterinary practice as a tool for economic development
SUB THEMES/TOPICS: 
GENERAL SESSION:
1. Ethical and welfare issues in Veterinary practise and research by Prof G. H Sharubut, MNI
2. Competitive Veterinary practice in a challenging Economy by Dr. Segun sansi
PARALLEL SESSIONS:
1. A practical approach to epidemiology, diagnosis and management of transboundary animal diseases by Prof T U Obi, MFR
2. Sanitary management and  drug residue in livestock and fish products by Dr Kabir Junaidu
 
REGISTRATION:
The registration fee is N15,000 only per participant and this covers registration, seminar materials, certificate and meal. Members are to make their accomodation arrangements.
Registration exercise at the venues will commence on the 13th of august 2014 for the southern center and 27th of august for the northern center and continue the following day.
 
NOTE: Certificate of attendance will only be given to members who stayed and participated till the end of the seminar and would be collected in person.
