The Kwara State University Malete, The West African Postgraduate College of Environmental Health and the Environmental Health Officers Registration Council of Nigeria announces the First West Africa Joint Scientific Conference on Environmental Health

 

Environmental health is as old as humanity that is, it has been with us from time immemorial. Environmental health addresses all the physical, chemical and biological factors external to man and all the related factors affecting behavioiurs. It encompasses the assessment and control of those environmental factors that can potentially afect health. It is targeted towards preventing disease and creating health supportive environments

 

Protecting health is the principal objective of environmental protection. The vast majority of environmental policies and regulations worldwide are motivated by public health concerns, and most economic valuation exercises have found that health impacts constitute the largest portion of environmental damages

 

 

This conference is targeted at providing a platform for scientists, practitioners, industry, policy makers, academia in the field of Environmental health in the west african sub region to interact and share information on the the THEME: Environmental Health- An effective tool for achieving sustainable development goals
