West African College of Nursing 13th Biennial General Meeting/ 22nd Scientific Session and 35th Council Meeting

On behalf of the president, council and fellows of the west african college  of Nursing, I have the pleasure to invite you to the 13th Biennial General Meeting, 22nd Scientific sessin and 35th Council meeting which will take place in Accra, Ghana from July 19th to 25th 2015.
 
The BGM and the scientific session will offer opportunities for fellows of the collee and other nurses and midwives from the sub region and beyond to come together to share experiences, including innovations in nursing educatin and practice. The BGM will also feature meetingss of the college and constituent faculties while the scientific session will feature keynote and plenary sessions with invited speakers and concurrent sessions froma wide selection of accepted abstracts.
 
THEME: PROFESSION VERSUS PROFESSIONALISM: OPPORTUNITIES AND CHALLENGES

1. Current trends in nursing and midwifery and implications for care
2. Ethical implications in the professional development of the nurse and midwife
3. Politics in Nursing and Midwifery education and practice issues and implications
4. Research in Nursing and Midwiferyy practice for optimal professionalism
