14th April~ 2016 -(Clinicals Accra Candidates) Postgraduate Fellowship of the College is recongnized by member conuntries of the West African Health Organisation (WAHO ) for appointment of Doctors to Consultant pOsitions.
REQUIREMENTS Candidates applying to ist for tthe primary Fellowship Examinations must be medical Practioners who are FULLY registered in Cote D'Ivore, The Gambia, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Senegal, Sierra Leone and Republic of Benin
Membership Examinations MWACP candidates must have passed the Primary Examination ofthe WestAflican CoUege of physicians or its equivalent and subsequenUysatisfactorily completed two years residency training ogramme asprescrtbed by the refevant Faculty, Copies of Physician in training letter and Exemption Letter are to be submitted along with Yourapplication. Candidate must have registered for Physician in Training immediately on passing Primary and on entering into a Training programme in an accredited institution. Physician in Training fee is N39,900.00 OR $190.
Fellowship Examination candidates must have passed the. Membership Examination of WACP and satisfactorily completed the appropriate years of training in an accredited institution. Subspecialty training fee is N80.850 or $385 and MUST BE PAID D tHING AND NOT DURING APPLICATION PROCESSING otherwise candidate shall be disqualified.

Additional Praeticat Examination Fee of N17,850 OR. $85 is payable by Membership and FeUowship candidates in laboratory MediCine, and Membership candidates In Community Health' . THIS IS PAYABLE ALONG WITH THE APPLICATION FORM OTHERWlSE THE APPLICATION STANDS DISQUALIFIED. Assessor's fee for Fellowship candidates or Case Book/Dissertation for the Cotlege is N26,250 OR $125 paid into College GTB account number 0028724798. Four copies of Dissertation and or Case Books must be SUBMITTED along with Two Copies of the approved Proposals. All to be saved inside CD rewritable. Candidates should collect their corrected dissertations or casebooks and examiner's comments immediately after the examination.

BANK DRAFTS ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE FOR EXAMINATION APPLICATION. PLEASE NOTE THAT NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED. Membership candidates must include evidence of having passed, Primary and fulfilled the requirement of Physician in Training.
THE COLLEGE SHALL BEAR NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR WRONGLY ADDRESSED PAYMENTS INTO ANY OTHER ACCOUNTS. NO REFUND WILL BE ENTERTAINED FOR NON ATTENDANCE., .
APPLICATION
a. Attendance of Mandatpry Course in Medical Ethics and Revision/Update courses of the College are prerequisites for sitting Membership Examinations. Anticipated attendance/submision of certificates shall be disqualified.
b.Current application of Mandatory Course in Medical Ethics and Their liaison offices, or cna also be downloaded and printed from:
www.wac-physicians.org Candidates are advised to download and use the currer)tapplic~tion form from the College website; otherwise, their APPLICATIONS will not be processed.
Evidence of attendanceofCotlege Revisi.on/UpdateCourses must be attached. Candidates forthe Membership or Fellowship Examinations will be expected to submit a photocopy of their completed Log books.:rhe original should be broughtta the examination hall Two (2) copies of Autopsy books are mandatory for All Membership candidates in Labaratory Medicine.

Submitting altered. falsified or incomplete documents to the West African College of Physicians may be a sufficient cause for the College to ban you from an examination, to terminate your participation in an examination. to withhold andlor invalidate the resuUsot an examination, to withhold awardofthe Fellowship of the College. to withhold a certificate. to revoke a certificate, or to take other appropriate action, The WACP will report findings of regular behaviour to the MOental Council ofille Country where the candidate practices er p" duate Medical Colleges in the West African Region and other organization or individual who, in the Judgementof the WACP, has a legitimatte interest in such information.

DEFERMENT OF EXAMINATION AFTER APPUCATION !S NO LONGER ACCEPTABLE"
All application forms must be accompanied with I'CURRENT DOCUMENTS INCLUDED CONTROL FORM" which could be downloaded from the website along with the applicatlon form. APPLtCANTS MUST APPEND THEIR FORMAL SIGNATURES IN THE SPACE PROVIDED ONTHE APLICATION FORM.
Candidates are advised to send application forms through RELIABLE courier service.
Candidates in the THIRD Trimester of pregnancy OR in the EARLY Postnatal Period may Not apply. '
Note: For Membership examinations .in all faculties of the West African College of Physicians, only candidates who have pel'formed satisfactorily in the theory papers would'b& anowed to proceed with the rest of the examinations.
CLOSING DATE
The closing date for the SubmissIon of completed application forms is Thursday 31st December lOiS. Candidates for the Fellowship Examination must have submitted theIr dissertations or case books by the closing date. lateness in submission of approved dissertation will not be entertained.
PENALTY FOR THE LATE SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS IS N42,OOO.OO OR $200 for one week and N84,OOO:OO OR $400 THEREAFTER for the second week.
NB: APPLICANT STANDS DISQUALIFIED ONCE HE/SHE DOES NOT MEET THE REQUIREMENT OF THE COLLEGE WITHOUT OPTION TO RECTIFY THE PROBLEM AFTER VETTING OF APPLICATION FORMS.
