Woman Facing Charges For Posing As A Nurse In Colorado Springs

A woman is facing felony charges for posing as a nurse in a Colorado Springs nursing home. She pretended to be another woman with her same first and last name.
 
Jennifer Jackson was expected in court this week for a plea hearing, but it was rescheduled for next month. Jackson has also been accused of posing as a nurse in Denver, Aurora, Commerce City and Nebraska.
 
Jackson reportedly used the Registered Nurse (RN) license number of the another Jennifer Jackson to get jobs and illegally treat patients.
In December, she pleaded guilty to the same crime in Adams County and was sentenced to four years probation. The fake nurse was first arrested in Commerce City before reportedly doing the exact same thing in Colorado Springs six months later.
 
She worked at Terrace Gardens Healthcare Center for seven days in August of last year before the attorney general's office notified the facility. According to the attorney general's office, Jackson first started stealing license numbers to work as a fake nurse in 2012.
 
The nursing home tells 11 News they took action as soon as they found out. They immediately fired Jackson and notified local law enforcement.
