As part of its statutory function, the Veterinary Council of Nigeria announces its annual Professional Continuing Education Seminar for 2013 as follows:

A: Southern Centre:5th September, 2013 at Tinapa, Cross River State Calabar

B: NorthernCentre: 19th September, 2013 at Katsina State Secretariat Complex, km 4 along Kano Road Katsina

The Role of Veterinarians in the Agricultural Transformation Agenda

General Session:

Effective disease reporting - An important tool in National Animal Disease control, management and Transboundry Animal Disease Surveillance by Dr. I. G. Ahmed

ii. The role of Genetic upgrading in domestic animals in the agricultural transformation Agenda (ATA) by Prof. E.O. Oyedipe

Parallel Sessions:

A. Small Animal

i. The use of Diagnostic test kits in Veterinary Practice by Dr. Tinuke Ahamed

iii. Anesthesiology in Small Animal Practice by Dr. A. A. Adetunji

B. Large Animal

The role of Veterinarian in meat inspection and one world, one health initiative by Dr. A. A. Magaji

Registration:

The registration fee isN10,000:00 only per participant and this covers Registration, Seminar materials, Certificate and Lunch. Members are to make their accommodation arrangements. Registration exercise at the venues will commence on the 4th of September, 2013 (for the Southern Centre) and 18th of September, 2013 (for the Northern Centre) and continue the following day.

Note: Certificate of attendance will only be given to members who stayed and participated till the end of the seminar and would be collected in person.
