QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Candidates applying for Anatomy, Physiology, Community Medicine, Chemical Pathology, Morbid Anatomy and Histopathology, Haematology and Blood Transfusion, Medical Microbiology and Parasitology, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Ear, Nose and Throat, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Ophthalmology, Psychiatry and Radiology must possess MBBS plus Fellowship or MBBS with MSc and PhD as applicable.

Associate Professor or Reader
Applicants must possess a good first degree not below second class lower division from a recognised university and a Masters and PhD degree or MBBS plus PhD or Fellowship in the relevant discipline. Candidates must have at least nine years of teaching and research experience in a recognised university and at least twenty two publications in reputable journals acceptable to the university. At least forty percent of the publications must be offshore and the candidate should be lead author in about forty percent of them. Applicants must demonstrate leadership, teamwork and a strong citation profile including Google Scholar H index and i10 index. A minimum of three years as a Senior Lecturer is required. Proven research grant awards as Principal Investigator are an added advantage.

Senior Lecturer
Applicants must possess a good first degree not below second class lower division and a Masters and PhD degree or MBBS plus PhD or Fellowship. A minimum of fifteen publications is required with at least thirty percent offshore and about thirty percent as lead author. Applicants must have a good Google Scholar citation record and must have spent at least three years as Lecturer I in a recognised university. Research grant experience is an advantage.

Lecturer I
Applicants must possess a good first degree not below second class lower division and a Masters and PhD degree or MBBS plus PhD or Fellowship. At least eight publications in reputable journals are required except for MBBS plus PhD or Fellowship holders. Applicants must have active Google Scholar, ResearchGate and Scopus accounts and must have spent at least three years as Lecturer II in a recognised university.

Lecturer II
Applicants must possess a good first degree not below second class lower division and a PhD degree in the relevant discipline. Candidates with a Masters degree plus recognised professional certification may also be considered. Applicants must have active Google Scholar, ResearchGate and Scopus accounts and must have spent at least three years as Assistant Lecturer in a recognised university.

Assistant Lecturer
Applicants must possess a good first degree not below second class lower division and a Masters degree in the relevant discipline.
