Achievers College of Nursing Sciences, Akure, Ondo State recently obtained approval of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) to commence training of nurses and midwives. The College, an affiliate of Achievers University Owo, Ondo State, is established to increase human resources for health services through professional certification designed as a pathway to acquired university degree in Nursing Science.

The vision of the college is to become the foremost and prestigious College of Nursing Sciences in Nigeria and beyond, providing highest level of excellence in nursing education, research and practice for improved human resource for healthcare. Our mission is to train high quality nurse-midwives that can actively work independently and with other healthcare team members to provide primary, secondary and tertiary care in a variety of settings while integrity, diligence, excellence, professionalism are the college’s ethical core values.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission for the 2023/2024 academic session. Candidates with a minimum score of 150 are eligible to apply.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Candidate must:

1. Be medically and physically fit and certified by a recognized medical practitioner.

2. Have attained a minimum age of 16 years demonstrated by evidence such as birth certificate or sworn affidavit from a Court of Law.

3. Meet a minimum educational requirement of credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE/NABTEB in five (5) subjects - English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology - at one sitting.

4. Fulfil the requirements above and possess other qualifications at higher levels such as A/Level passes (Grades A - E) in Biology / Zoology and one of Chemistry and Physics; OR the National Certificate in Education OR Higher National Diploma OR B.Sc. Degree in any of the natural, applied and life sciences at not lower than Upper Credit or Second Class Lower level respectively from recognized and approved colleges of education, polytechnics and universities in and outside Nigeria.
