Achievers University, Owo was approved and licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2007. It commenced academic activities on 2nd April, 2008. The University, which is situated in a serene and conducive environment, has matriculated 14 sets of students and graduated 10 sets of 'Achievers' who are making their marks in all spheres of human endeavours. The University now fully operates at its permanent site at Km 1, Idasen-Ute Road, Owo. 

Because of the need to reposition the University as well as sustain her remarkable achievements, we are currently seeking exceptionally qualified staff with outstanding integrity and demonstrable leadership qualities to join our highly motivated team in moving the University forward in her next phase of growth and development.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE 

i. Professor 

Candidate must possess a Ph.D. in the relevant subject areas with at least ten (10) years of teaching, research or professional experience in a university or any other tertiary institution. Candidate must have a record of substantial publications, evidence of postgraduate supervision, and ability to initiate and develop research. In addition, candidate must possess a good measure of academic leadership, teamwork as well as some administrative experience in working with interdisciplinary groups. 

ii. Reader (Associate Professor)

Same as for Professor, but with at least eight (8) years post-qualification experience in teaching, research and postgraduate supervision. 

iii. Senior Lecturer 

Candidate must possess a Ph.D. in the relevant subject areas with a minimum of six (6) years post-qualification experience of teaching in a university or any recognized tertiary institution. Candidate must have a good number of publications and show evidence of research and academic leadership. 

iv. Lecturer I 

Candidate must possess a Ph.D. in the relevant subject areas with at least four (4) years post-qualification experience in teaching, research as well as a good number of publications in reputable journals. Holders of a good master's degree with substantial number of publications and teaching experience can also apply.

SALARY AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE

Salaries, allowances and other benefits are as approved by the Governing Council of Achievers University and compare favourably with what obtains in federal universities. 

NON-TEACHING 

1. Technologist (Microbiology) 

Qualifications: Candidates must be holders of Bachelor of Science or Higher National Diploma in Science Laboratory Technology or Microbiology. Membership of the Nigerian Institute of Science Laboratory Technology will be an added advantage.

2. Medical Laboratory Technician

Qualifications: Candidates must possess Medical Laboratory Technician Diploma of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN). Possession of 2021 MLSCN licence will be an added advantage.

Salaries, allowances and other benefits are as approved by the Governing Council of Achievers University.
