Bauchi State Health Contributory Management Agency (BASHCMA) has disclosed that N14,056,200 has been expended on 2,740 enrollees in the 20 wards of Katagum Local Council under the Federal Government Basic Healthcare Provision Fund (BHCPF).
The Executive Secretary of BASHCMA, Dr. Mansur Dada, made this known in Azare, Katagum, yesterday, when he led the team of United States of America International Development (USAID-IHP) and Bauchi State Primary Health Care Development Agency (BASPHCDA) to assess the health insurance programme for vulnerable residents.
The Programme Local Government Desk Officer, Nuhu Wada, explained that in each of the 20 wards, 137 vulnerable people enrolled into the scheme were receiving free healthcare to the tune of N570 monthly.
