CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

BGM Theme: 

Investing in the Nursing and Midwifery workforce for attainment of Universal Health Coverage (UHC) in the sub-region. 

Sub-themes: 

1. Nursing and Midwifery education and practice for the attainment of UHC 
2. Regulation of Nursing and Midwifery in the Sub region 
3. Nursing and Midwifery informatics and ICT education for quality care 
4. Nursing and Midwifery leadership and involvement in policy development for the attainment of UHC 
5. Nursing and Midwifery staff preparedness for challenging and difficult situation (Climate change, Migration, Pandemic, Political insecurity etc.). 
6. Gender equity and diversity in Nursing and Midwifery education and practices 
7. Research in Nursing and Midwifery for quality evidence base cares 
8. Nurses and Midwives leading in Community Health for attaining UHC

Submission Details 

1. Deadline for submission of abstracts is 11:59 PM on Friday, 24th March 2023. No extension will be granted. Late submissions will not be considered. 
2. Abstracts should be written in font size Arial 12. 
3. Author’s name, qualifications, email address and affiliation should be written in font size Arial 10. 
4. For abstracts with multiple authors, the presenting author’s name should be highlighted. 
5. The abstract should not exceed 300 words. 
6. Abstracts should be submitted as word document attachment and sent to the WAPCNM conference online abstract submission site: [email protected]. 
7. All authors with accepted abstracts MUST register for the programme before 5th May 2023. 
8. Multiple author abstracts will only be accepted if at least one of the authors is registered and present at the conference.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION OPENS 30th January 2023, visit [email protected] and [email protected]  For each accepted symposium, oral/podium, and poster abstract, the Programme Committee will assign the time and date of presentation on the conference schedule which will be made available to presenters via email by 3rd April 2023.

Conference Registration 

ALL PRESENTERS MUST REGISTER FOR THE CONFERENCE AND SHOULD PAY THE APPLICABLE REGISTRATION FEE NOT LATER THAN 5th May 2023. 

Any substituting author, other than the primary author must register for the conference and pay the applicable fee.

• Student Nurses and Midwives US $50
