Job Description

  • Are you looking to join a vibrant team to hone and develop your skills? We are recruiting a Community Health Extension Worker (CHEW) to join our HMO & Business Growth Team.
  • The overall duties expected of the position are to provide administrative support to the team, act as a liaison between HQ, HMO providers and patients and also be able to provide nursing services to patients.

Detailed Listing of Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze patient Information
  • Take patients’ samples, temperatures, pulses, and blood pressures
  • Observe and monitor patients’ conditions
  • Function as an intermediary between HMO providers, patients, and HQ Growth Team
  • Verify HMO patients for laboratory and radiology
  • Record patient information in computerized logs.
  • Efficient in chaperon of patients to various consulting rooms.
  • Handle claims process with the Finance team.
  • Coordinate with Logistics Team to ensure all samples are picked up
  • Coordinate with Lekki Centre to ensure all results are received.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all documents.

Requirements

  • Ideal candidate must possess a Diploma in Community Health (CHEW)
  • 1 – 3 years’ experience working as a nurse or CHEW in healthcare sector
  • Must be a certified Community Health Extension Worker from a recognized school of Health Technology.
  • Must possess a current practice license from the relevant regulating body.
  • Candidate should be computer proficient
  • Must have sound relevant knowledge in general nursing operations
  • Excellent, communication and people skills
  • Demonstrated administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • Must be able to work in a team.
  • Must be able to commute to work at Lekki or Victoria Island with ease.
