AUGUST/OCTOBER 2025: ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR PRIMARY, MEMBERSHIP & FELLOWSHIP EXAMINATIONS
The West African College of Physicians (WACP) announces the commencement of online registration for the August/October 2025 Examinations. The examination portal at www.wacpcoam.org opens on Monday, May 12th, 2025. Applicants are strongly advised to visit the website for necessary updates and information on how to apply and eligibility criteria for Primary, Membership, and Fellowship aspects of the examination per www.wacpcoam.org/guidelines.
- Registration closes on Monday, June 23rd, 2025. Late registration commences Tuesday 24th June, 2025, and closes on Monday 30th June, 2025.
- The penalty for late registration: N260,000 / S200 / GHC 2,600 (only for one week).
EXAMINATIONS, DATE & VENUE
Primary Examinations
The Primary Examination will be held on Thursday, August 28th, 2025, at:
- Abuja – Nigeria
- Enugu – Nigeria
- Ibadan – Nigeria
- Accra – Ghana
- Banjul – The Gambia
- Monrovia – Liberia
- Freetown – Sierra Leone
Membership Examinations (CBT)
The Screening Examination will be held on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025, at:
- Abuja – Nigeria
- Enugu – Nigeria
- Ibadan – Nigeria
- Accra – Ghana
- Banjul – The Gambia
- Monrovia – Liberia
- Freetown – Sierra Leone
Fellowship Examinations
The Fellowship Examination will be held from Tuesday, September 30th to Saturday, October 4th, 2025, at:
- University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Nigeria
- National Hospital Abuja (NHA), Nigeria
- Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH), Accra, Ghana
Note:
- The College reserves the right to change your Exam Centre (Abuja/Accra/Ibadan) for the clinical Membership/Fellowship Examinations on logistics.
- Membership candidates who banked the CBT Exams previously should upload the statement of result alongside other application documents.
- Enugu, Banjul, Monrovia, and Freetown Centres are for CBT Examinations ONLY.
- Applicants are to indicate their preferred clinical Examinations Centres during registration (Abuja, Ibadan, or Accra).
- Only candidates who passed the CBT will proceed to write the clinical and practical aspects of the Examination, which will be held from Tuesday, September 30th, 2025.
EXAMINATION FEES
Fees
- Primary Examination fee: N150,000 / S950,000.00 or GHC 1,950.00
- Membership fee: N425,000 / S2,500.00 or GHC 5,525.00
- Fellowship fee: N625,000 / S12,500.00 or GHC 9,125.00
- Fellowship Case Book/Dissertation fee: N125,000 / S1,625.00 or GHC 1,625.00
- Additional practical examination fee for Membership and Fellowship candidates in Laboratory Medicine and Membership candidates in Community Health: N110,500 / S885 / GHC 1,105
This is payable via the online registration along with the application for otherwise the applicant stands disqualified.
Note: Candidates are advised to read the application instruction page on the website www.wacpcoam.org before applying for any of these examinations.
- All examination fees are payable electronically.
- Evidence of Payment
- Candidates applying for Primary, Membership, and Fellowship examinations should visit the website www.wacpcoam.org, click LOGIN, and follow the step-by-step procedures for online registration, which could be printed as evidence of payment.
Applicants Not Residing in Nigeria
- Ghana: Applicants should pay (in the name of West African College of Physicians) into UCB Bank (Korle-Bu Branch), Account No.: 1311300000973 – The PAY-IN-SLIP should be submitted to the College Office for a UNIQUE PAYMENT CODE, which will be needed to complete the online registration.
- Other Countries: Applicants should start the application process online and pay in USD.
NB: Applicants stand disqualified once he/she does not meet the requirements of the College after vetting the application forms.
