Job Title: Eastern Regional Sales Manager

Locations: Onitsha - Anambra and Asaba - Delta

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver strategic and sales goals including profitable year-over-year growth for the assigned region.
  • Increase business with existing and new accounts through prospecting and networking
  • Opens new accounts, expands sales on existing accounts
  • Possess detailed knowledge of the company, our products, the industry, and the competitive market in the region, enabling the business to solidify itself as an industry leader and fulfill the company’s business goals
  • Manage the complexities of account(s) in support of customer needs
  • Build relationships with customers based on trust and respect
  • Orchestrate and lead key business negotiations, supporting the company’s interests and demonstrating an ability to influence decisions and actions
  • Report and communicate current performance achievements in terms of sales and marketing contribution to the business unit for monthly management reporting
  • Drive forecast accuracy for improved business results
  • Manages accounts receivable at acceptable levels with assistance from the credit department
  • Work with Strategic Marketing to identify, analyze, and recommend actions to meet strategic unmet customer needs
  • Build highly collaborative relationships between the company and the region to include: senior leadership, procurement, quality, operations, sales management, support teams, etc. to enhance sales initiatives and profitably while meeting customer needs
  • Coordinates Sales Management, R&D, Marketing, and Field Service in support of validation trials and customer trials
  • Communicates competitive developments in the region base regarding marketing strategies, pricing structures, or product performance and communicates intelligence to management through the Monthly Report system
  • Act as a safety leader and put safety first in all responsibilities, promoting an environment where each employee makes safety their priority
  • Promotion of product image and awareness in the Nigerian Market space.
  • Coordination of business activities and personnel in the region
  • Creation of a product information manual for marketing purposes
  • Sale and product penetration drive the company’s products to prospective customers and institutions.
  • Territorial coverage of product and revenue management with target markets for appointment of distributors:
  • Credit and debt management within the company policies and procedures.
  • Professional and ethical Sales and Marketing of company products
  • Weekly and Monthly reports on market trends, revenue, and income positions to the Executive management.
  • Creation of procedures and processing for effective operations.
  • Execution and participation in internal and external audits.

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

  • B.Sc. in Pharmacy or a related discipline is strongly desired. MBA will be an added advantage
  • 5 years experience in sales and business development and 2 years experience as a manager

  • Consultative Selling Experience
  • Entrepreneurial
  • Communication Proficiency - written and verbal
  • Sales Channel Performance Management
  • Excellent collaboration skills, including the ability to work with colleagues in the region and other regions as well.
  • Knowledge of, and a keen interest in, sustainable development.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email).
  • Attention to detail is a must; the ability to exercise discretion.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
