Job Title: Product Manager

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

 

Job Responsibilities

• The Product Manager shall have these key job responsibilities.
• Develop strategic initiatives for the successful performance of their products in the marketplace.
• Grow the market share of existing products portfolio by working closely with the sales team.
• Conduct market research to evaluate competitive activities, study market trends, and recommend marketing initiatives to management.
• Successfully apply market research outcome to develop existing and new products.
• Oversee the training and development of the field force members on product knowledge and market developments.
• Follow up with the sales team to ensure the implementation of marketing strategies as laid out in the quarterly product development plan.

 

Working Relationships:

• External: Doctors, Pharmacists, HCP Associations, Vendors & Suppliers
• Internal: Sales Team, NSM, Finance, Supply Chain, Admin. and HR departments.

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Pharmacology, Physiology or Biochemistry. MBA degree may be an advantage.
• Robust knowledge of pharmacology, pathophysiology of diseases

 

Required Skill Set:

• Robust knowledge in pharmacology, pathophysiology of diseases, and therapeutic options.
• Deep understanding of consumer behavior, effect of marketing tools on product development and performance, marketing strategies formulation and implementation in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Ability to develop and co-ordinate the implementation of product development strategies.
• Ability to make flawless presentation to the sales team, medical audience, and top management.
• Previous experience as a medical sales representative is absolutely required.
• Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry basic selling skill and sales process.

 

Required Experience:

Minimum of one year cognate experience as a product manager in a structured and ethical-oriented pharmaceutical company.

Individuals without previous product managerial experience must have exceptional understanding of the role, and possess the basic knowledge and skill required for the position in view.
