Medical Officer (CONMESS 03)

Role Description

Performs clinical examinations of outpatients, diagnose and initiates appropriate investigations and makes prognostic suggestions, if required, refer patients to the laboratory
Performs complete and/or appropriate examination to diagnose and treat patients in person or via telemedicine as appropriate
Develop and implement an operational plan to achieve SDG goal 3 (Good health and well-being)
Identify cases that require specialized medical care and collaborate with other health organizations that offer medical care services
Provide guidance and periodic supervision of the staff both in the clinics and in the community
Ensure all members of the health team are conversant with National & Edo Health Insurance Scheme and other health programmes Qualification Candidates for the post must possess the required qualifications, experience and skills specified below:
Member Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (M.D.C.N)
1-year post NYSC cognate experience
Not more than forty (90) years of age.

Pharmacist (CONHESS 09)

Role Description

Review prepare, and supervise the compounding, preparation, and dispensing of medicines to patients or medial professionals to decide whether to utilize a generic version of a prescription drug
Offer further medicine and pharmaceutical information; explain pharmacological indications, contraindications, dosage, interactions and adverse effects to patients and/or medical professionals
Oversee the acquisition and distribution of drugs arid pharmaceuticals to health centres, PHCs, health stations, etc. Support pharmacological services by assembling, stocking and distributing medications
Conduct comprehensive mediation reviews to assess the appropriateness, effectiveness, and safety of medications for individual patients. They identify potential medication-related issues, promote adherence strategies, and support patients in managing complex medication regimens

Qualification

Degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharm or PharmD)
1-year post NYSC cognate experience
Member of the Pharmaceutical Council of Nigeria (PCN) or Nigerian Association of General Practice Pharmacists (NAGPP)

Medical Laboratory Scientist (CONIIESS 09)

Role Description

Perform a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, clinical chemistry, immunology, microbiology, molecular diagnostics, blood banking, and urinalysis
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment used for testing
Perform regular quality control checks and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during testing
Maintain and enforce quality control measures within the laboratory
Work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely laboratory results
Analyse body fluids, classify and process blood to determine types and to separate satin from the blood

Qualification

B.Sc. Degree in Medical Laboratory Science
Member, Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)

Nursing/Midwives (CONI1ESS 07)

Role Description

Taking and recording patients vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, and pulse) as well as ordering diagnostic tests as needed
Educate patients on health risk factors and implement health promotion strategies for early detection and screening for communicable diseases
Teach patients and families strategies to develop healthy living to promote patients holistic health and wellbeing
Performs clinical examinations of outpatients, diagnose and initiates appropriate investigations and makes prognostic suggestions, if required, refer patients to the laboratory
Ability to respond to the treatment of emergency cases that come outside the normal Outpatients Department hours
Ensuring effective collaboration and communication with the multidisciplinary team as it relates to patient care and advocacy

Scientific Officer (CONHESS 07)

Role Description

Develop and implement evidence-based practices by reviewing scientific literatures, synthetizing research findings and providing recommendation based on the best available evidence
Design evaluation frameworks, collect and analyze data, and assess program performance against established indicators or benchmarks to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making
Develop quality indicators, evaluate compliance with standards, identify areas for improvement, and implement quality improvement strategies to enhance patient safety and care
Collect and analyze healthcare data to support research initiatives and quality improvement efforts

Qualification

Community Health Extension Worker (COPHIE&S 07)

Role Description

Conduct diagnosis and assessment of the community's health needs in collaboration with other health professionals
Provide health education about sanitation, water supply, disease prevention & management, informal counselling, patient support and follow-up care as required
Assist in immunization & vaccination programmes, cold chain management and logistics
Help people understand their health condition(s) and develop strategies to improve their health and wellbeing
Coordinate the placement of home-based records and update house numbers in primary healthcare through community visitation

Qualification

Medical Record Technician (CONHESS 06)

Role Description

Collect new patients information and as well as properly filling hard copy information.
Protect the security of medical records and ensure that confidentiality is always maintained.
Manages the generation, preservation, and retrieval of medical records whenever they are needed.
Process patient admission or discharge documents
Maintain a referral charting system to ensure a proper follow up of patient care referred for outside consultation and imaging services
Obtain documentation requested by healthcare professionals such as test results that are not yet filled in medical records

Qualification

Pharmacy Technician (CONI MSS 06)

Role Description

Reading and interpret physician's medication orders
Aid in filling, processing, and dispensing medications, re-package and label medications, adhere to safety practices in order to ensure quality care for patients
Prioritize requests and check for expiration dates on medications on a regular basis
Support pharmacological services by assembling, stocking and distributing medications
Sorting, stocking and labeling medications and monitoring inventory
Responding to the requests of patients and healthcare providers, answering their questions and referring various inquiries to the Pharmacist

Qualification

Diploma/Technical certificate in Pharmacy

Medical Laboratory Technician (CONJIESS 06)

Role Description

Collect, examine and analyse specimen from patients to provide the information required by medical officers for diagnosis and treatment
Prepare medical solutions reagent, microscopic slides and culture media for laboratory test
Care for and maintain laboratory equipment
Carry out microscopic examination of specimen for pathogens
Analyse body fluids, classify and process blood to determine types and to separate satin from the blood source
Document all medical data and results in specified forms with accuracy and responsibility

Health Attendant (CONIIFSS 03)

Role Description

Perform routine cleaning and sanitization tasks to ensure a clean and safe environment. This includes disinfecting outfaces, mopping floors and emptying trash
Help patients with activities of daily lift including eating, taking a shower and using the restroom
Identify and report safety hazards or potential risks in the healthcare environment, such as damaged equipment, faulty electrical outlets, or slippery floors
Assist in conducting health screenings and assessments, such as measuring height, weight, body mass index (BMI) and carry prescribed drugs and food to patients
Provide bask health education to patients on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, preventive are and community health sensitization
