The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Tuesday reported 33 new cases of COVID-19 from four states and the Federal Capital Territory. The agency did not report any additional COVID-19 related death.
The NCDC disclosed this on its official Facebook page. According to data from the agency, Lagos reported 13 cases followed by Kaduna with 9 cases, Delta – 5, FCT – 5, and Rivers 1.
The reported 33 new infections have brought the total number of confirmed cases to 254,124 while 230,472 people have recovered and have been discharged. With no additional COVID-19 related death recorded for the day, the death toll from the virus still stands at 3,141.
The agency added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 2, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
