Primera Food Nigeria Limited, a leading FMCG company (Food Plant Factory) in Agbara, Ogun State, Nigeria, is recruiting a suitably qualified candidate to fill the position below:

Job Title: Health and Safety Officer

Location: Agbara, Ogun

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the HSE Manager.
• The incumbent will be involved with the implementation of policies relating to health, safety & environment in the workplace.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory bodies.
• Conduct HSE induction for new employees
• Evaluate workplace activities for corrective measures implementation
• Conduct toolbox meetings and drill when necessary
• Monitor HSE system and programs
• Disseminate information on safety to all department/discipline to alert them on specific hazards.

Requirements

• A good Degree in Food Science and Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 2 years of experience which must be in food industry.
• Relevant and adequate HSE professional qualification in the manufacturing/food industry would be an added advantage.
• Working knowledge of GMP, QMS systems would be an added advantage.
• Excellent computer literacy is a pre-requisite.
