To meet the growing demand of Nigeria’s Market, Stockgap Fuels Limited is expanding its LPG business by investing on additional storage and cylinder filling facility in 4 strategic locations spanning major regions of the country - Lagos/South-West, South-South/South-East, North-Central/North-West and North-East regions respectively.

We are  recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Officer

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Employment Type: Full-time

Department: Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)

Grade: Officer

 

Role Overview

• Provide day-to-day safety supervision on the plant floor across bulk storage, filling line, and loading areas to enforce PPE, permit-to-work systems, and hazard prevention.

Key Responsibilities

• Issue and audit Permit-to-Work (PTW) documentation and enforce LOTO/PPE compliance on the floor.
• Conduct safety inductions for staff, visitors, and contractors, and facilitate daily/weekly toolbox talks.
• Inspect firefighting equipment (extinguishers, hydrants) and gas detection units.
• Assist in incident reporting, near-miss logging, and environmental waste segregation checks.

 

Qualifications & Experience

• Qualification: OND / HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Safety,  Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field.
• Experience: 2 – 4 years’ HSE experience in an oil & gas or process plant environment.
• Certifications: ISPON Safety Certification (Level I/II) required; NEBOSH IGC is an added advantage.
