House of Representatives Committee on Healthcare Services Invitation to Public Hearing Call for Memoranda

Following the Resolutions of the House of Representatives mandating the House Committee co Healthcare Services to conduct Public Hearing on the Under listed Bills/Motions. 

BILLS 

1. A BILL FOR AN ACT TO ESTABLISH THE PUBLIC HEALTH PRACTITIONERS COUNCIL OF NIGERIA CHARGED WITH RESPONSIBILITY OF ADVANCING THE STUDY, TRAINING AND PRACTICE OF PUBLIC HEALTH MANAGEMENT AND AD MINISTRATION IN NIGERIA;AND FOR RELATED MATTERS. (-18.1236). 

2. A BILL FOR AN ACT TO ESTABLISH MINIMUM STANDARD FOR HEALTH CARE FACILITIES TO PROVIDE BASIC STANDARDS TO BE OBSERVED BY OPERATORS OF HEALTHCARE FACILITIES IN NIGERIAAND EMPOWER THE FEDERAL MINISTRY OF HEALTH TO ENFORCE SUCH REGISTRATION AND NATIONVVI DE COM PLIANC E; AND FOR RELATED MATTERS. (HB. 1260). 

3. A BILL FOR AN ACT TO ESTABLISH DECONTAMINATION CENTRE WITHIN EACH OF THE THIRTY-SIX(36) STATES AND THE FEDERAL CAPITAL TERRITORY(FCT) OF NIGERIA CHARGED WITH RESPONSIBILITY OF CLEANING, DISINFECTING AND STERILIZATION OF MEDICAL DEVICES AND INSTRUMENTS PRIOR TO RE-USE WITH A VIEW TO PREVENTING TRANSMISSION OF ATROGENIC INFECTION ALSO CALLED HOSPITAL ACQUI REDINFECTION; AN D FOR RELATED MATTERS (H8.581 ). 

4. A BILL FOR AN ACT TO ESTABLISH NIGERIA FOOD VENDORS BIO DATA COLLATION AGENCY WITH THE FUNCTION TO, AMONG OTHERS, REGULATE, TRAIN AND ENGAGE IN BIO-DATA CAPTURING OF ALL FOOD VENDORS IN NIGERIAN ORDER TO DEVELOP A STANDARD FOOD AND WATER VENDORS IDENTIFICATION NUMBER FOR EASY TRACEABILITY SYSTEM OF ANY FOOD POISONING AND MISHANDLING CASES AND ALSO COLLABORATE WITH FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS BOTH NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY TO EMPOWER THE FOOD VENDORS WITH FUNDS AS SOFT LOAN TO ENABLE THEM ACQUIRE THE NECESSARY FOOD PROCESSING MACHINES AND OTHER FOOD EQUIPMENT TO ENABLE THE FOOD VENDORS MEET UP WITH INTERNATIONAL STANDARD REQUIREMENT OF FOOD SAFETY AND HYGIENE PRACTICE; AND FOR RELATED MATTERS (H8.1505). 

5. A BILL FOR AN ACT TO MAKE HEALTHCARE SERVICE DELIVERY FREE FOR AL LCH ILDREN IN NIGERIA;AND FOR RELATED MATTERS (H8.1504)

Time: 10:00am Daily 

Venue: Conference Room 231, New Bunting, House of Representatives, National Assembly, Abuja. 

Please note that the Public Hearing wit be conducted in line with COVID-19 Nigeria Centre of Disease Control (NCDC) guidelines with strict adherence to wearing of face mask and observance of social distancing.
