Job Title: Laboratory Scientist

Location: Opebi, Ikeja - Lagos

 

Job Description

• Petcare Animal Hospital is seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated Laboratory Scientist to join our diagnostics team.
• The ideal candidate will perform accurate laboratory tests, maintain quality control, and support veterinarians in delivering excellent medical care to pets.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests including hematology, urinalysis, parasitology, microbiology, and chemistry analyses.
• Analyze samples and report results accurately and promptly.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment regularly.
• Ensure proper sample collection, handling, labeling, and storage.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and documentation.
• Uphold strict quality control and safety standards.
• Assist veterinarians with diagnostic interpretations where necessary.
• Manage laboratory inventory and report shortages of supplies.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• BMLS or B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Science or related field.
• Must be experienced in laboratory diagnostics (veterinary experience is an added advantage).
• Passionate, hardworking, and detail-oriented.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and basic computer applications.
• Preferred: Candidates who live in or around Ikeja.
