Job Title: Laboratory & Logistics Manager / Senior Manager

Role Overview
- The Laboratory & Logistics Manager/Senior Manager will be responsible for the hands-on execution and oversight of laboratory and clinical trial logistics activities, including sample handling, shipments, tracking, inventory, and vendor coordination.
- The role will ensure that laboratory and logistics activities are conducted efficiently and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, GCP, GDP, IATA guidelines, biosafety requirements, and ARO SOPs. The role will also support operational planning, quality oversight, vendor management, and continuous improvement across laboratory and logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and oversee laboratory and clinical trial logistics activities, including sample handling, shipment coordination, tracking, and inventory management.
- Coordinate laboratory, courier, and logistics vendors, including vendor qualification, performancemonitoring, issue escalation, and ongoing oversightMaintain accurate inventory of laboratory supplies, reagents, and clinical trial materials.
- Coordinate with Regulatory Affairs on applicable import/export requirements, permits, customsdocumentation, and other regulatory requirements relating to laboratory and clinical trial materials.
- Ensure compliance with GCP, GDP, IATA, biosafety, and applicable regulatory requirements and AROSOPs.
- Monitor and address shipment discrepancies, temperature excursions, deviations, investigations, CAPAs,and other laboratory or logistics issues, in collaboration with QA and relevant teams.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready logistics documentation, trackers, records, and reports.
- Support audits, inspections, vendor assessments, and follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
- Develop and maintain operational trackers, monitor timelines and risks, and support laboratory andlogistics planning and readiness for clinical studies.
- Identify operational gaps and opportunities for process improvement and implement appropriateimprovements.
- Collaborate with Clinical Operations, QA, Regulatory Affairs, Data teams, and other stakeholders toensure aligned and inspection-ready processes.
- Provide guidance, training, and knowledge transfer to junior laboratory and logistics staff as required.
Senior Manager-Level Expectations:
For appointment at the Senior Manager level, the role will additionally be expected to provide greater functional leadership, independently drive laboratory and logistics strategy and process improvement, oversee complex vendor and operational issues, and provide leadership and guidance to team members and cross-functional stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences, Clinical Research, Logistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in clinical research, laboratory operations, logistics, or a related field forManager-level appointment.
- 8+ years of relevant experience, with demonstrated leadership or functional oversight experience, forSenior Manager-level appointment.
- Experience with clinical trial sample logistics, laboratory operations, and vendor management.
- Strong understanding of GCP, GDP, IATA, biosafety, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience with vendor qualification, performance monitoring, issue resolution, and quality oversight.
- Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Previous management, supervisory, or functional leadership experience is preferred for Manager leveland expected for Senior Manager level.
