Lagos, FCT, Three Others Report 27 New COVID-19 Cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Tuesday reported 27 new COVID-19 cases from four states and the Federal Capital Territory. The agency did not report any additional COVID-19 related death. 

The NCDC disclosed this on its official website. According to data from the agency, Lagos recorded 12 cases, followed by the FCT – 8, Katsina – 5, Kano – 1, and Rivers – 1. 

The 27 new infections reported have brought the total number of confirmed cases to 254,352 while 230,846 people have recovered and have been discharged. With no COVID-19 related deaths recorded for the day, the death toll from the virus still stands at 3,142. 

The agency added that a multi-sectoral National Emergency Operations Centre, activated at Level 2, had continued to coordinate the national response activities.
