The Management of Federal Medical Centre, Ebute-Metta Lagos State hereby invites applications from interested and suitably candidates to fill the vacant position of the Medical Director.

Requirements:

Interested Candidates must have the following qualifications;

1. Candidate must be a Medical or Dental Practitioner registered with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria(MDCN) with not less that twelve (12) years post-graduation

2. Candidate must possess a current practicing License from MDCN;

3. Candidate must be Fellow of either National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria or West African Postgraduate Medical College, or its equivalent, registered by Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria;

4. Candidate must have been a Consultant for a minimum of five(5) years;

5. Candidate must be medically fit (Attached Evidence)

6. Candidate must be of proven good character and integrity;

7. Evidence of Medical Researches is an added advantage;

8. Administrative qualification and experience are added advantages;

9. Knowledge of information and communication Technology (ICT) is added advantage;

10. Attraction of funded grants by individual candidate is an added advantage.

 

Responsibilities:

I. The Medical Director is the Head/Chief Executive of the Institution. He is accountable to the Board of Management and Honourable Minister of State for Health & Social welfare.

 

The Medical Director is charged with responsibility of the execution of policies and matters affecting the day-to-day managment of the hospital.

 

Salary and Allowances

Salary and allowances will be in accordance with the public service. Salary structure for this category of Officer

The Candidate should enclose his/her Vision Statement for the Hospital in the next four (4) years in not more than 1000words.

 

The Curriculum Vitae must include the names and addresses of three (3) referees, one of whom must be a senior medical or dental practitioner of NOT LESS than twenty (20) years post qualification experience and who should be in position to attest to the candidates academics, professional and managerial abilities as well moral charcater and uprightness. The should be accompanied by recommendation letters from the referees.
