Job Summary
We are looking for a meticulous lab technician who will be responsible for supporting our laboratory staff with the primary goal of optimizing laboratory procedures and succeeding in producing reliable test results.
In order to be successful as a laboratory technician you will need to be thorough when carrying out your duties, successfully maintain records of laboratory processes and equipment, and generate reports to submit to the relevant Laboratory Coordinator.
Job Details
- The Laboratory Technician will perform tasks that supports standard and safe medical laboratory operations in our Clinic.
- Assist with specimen collection, specimen referral activities and specimen storage.
- Prepare workstation for laboratory analysis.
- Assist at ensuring cleanness of laboratory equipment and safety procedures.
- Enter data into Laboratory Information Management System and dispatch laboratory report accordingly.
- Comply with laboratory quality procedures, SOPs, and biosafety regulations.
- Maintain and update all laboratory records and documents.
Requirements
- Diploma in Medical Laboratory Tech
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in similar role.
- An active MLT Liscense
- Good understanding of laboratory information systems and automated laboratory equipment.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word
- Good organizational skills and record keeping (attention to detail is critical).
- Cheerful presence and people skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills.
Salary
N165,441 - N173,713 monthly.
