Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician / Accessioning Officer

Location: Lekki, Lagos

Description

• We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Medical Technician / Accessioning Officer to join our dynamic laboratory team.
• This role is crucial to ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of specimens from receipt through processing, maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and accurately log patient specimens into the laboratory information system.
• Verify patient information, specimen labeling, and accompanying documentation.
• Prepare and process specimens for laboratory analysis according to established protocols.
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and tracking of samples to maintain integrity.
• Collaborate closely with laboratory scientists, phlebotomists, and other healthcare staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with laboratory safety standards.

Requirements

• Minimum of a Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.
• Previous experience in a laboratory setting or specimen accessioning is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems is a plus.
