Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician

Location: Ojo, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

 

Description

The successful candidate will support daily laboratory operations, assist with specimen processing, and contribute to the quality and accuracy of diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in performing routine laboratory tests under the supervision of a Medical Laboratory Scientist.
• Collect, label, and process patient specimens (blood, urine, stool, swabs, etc.).
• Prepare slides, reagents, and materials needed for laboratory procedures.
• Clean, operate, and perform basic maintenance on laboratory equipment.
• Maintain accurate documentation of test data and patient information.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety and biosafety protocols.
• Monitor and report stock levels of consumables and reagents.
• Support quality control activities and follow established SOPs.
• Provide courteous and professional assistance to patients and clinical staff.

Requirements

• Certificate or Diploma as a Medical Laboratory Technician from a recognized institution.
• Valid MLSCN license.
• 3–5years relevant experience in a clinical laboratory or diagnostic center.
• Good technical, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures accurately.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Salary

• Negotiable, based on experience.
