The Nigerian Medical Association Rivers State branch has expressed its support for the upcoming 7th AfriHealth Expo. Professor Alikor Chizindu made this known in a letter to the event organizers where he stated the NMA's resolve to mobilize all Doctors especially those in Rivers State to massively attend and participate in the Master Classes. He added that 'the NMA Rivers State will also support the program with award of CPD points to the attendees of the Master classes

The NMA Rivers congratulated the event organizers for their immense contributions to the Health Sector through various AfriHealth Programmes which includes but not limited to the distribution of free Afrthealth Magazines to Healthcare Professionals and made available to the public through Library's, Malls, Hotels, and some Airlines in Nigeria, the education and promotion of effective and innovative healthcare service delivery in Nigeria. The impact of the aforementioned contributions cannot be overemphasized.

The aim of the AfriHealth Expo 2021 event which aims at Promoting Healthcare Businesses and Medical literacy especially amongst Healthcare Providers in Nigeria is scheduled to hold between the 20th - 22nd of October at Hotel Presidential Port-Harcourt. It is the biggest Healthcare Providers Development Event in Nigeria, featuring Masterclasses, Lectures, Exhibition of Pharmaceutical, Medical and Laboratory Equipments .

Healthcare Providers in Nigeria are expected to participate in the 3 day event to Learn, Interact and Network. Attendance is free. Over a 100 Exhibitors and 1000 participants are expected in the event.  Hospitals, Diagnostic Centres and NGOs gets free Exhibition  booths. There would be free Medical and free Eye Screening for the visitors.
