Dear Sir / Madam,

NOTICE OF COMMENCEMENT OF ONLINE VERIFICATION APPLICATION

This is to inform you that arrangement has been concluded by the Council to commence online verification application for Nurses and Midwives seeking for verification of qualifications(s) / licence and good standing status from Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria to local or international institutions.

However, the Council is starting exclusively with applications going to NMC UK with effect from May 25th, 2021.

With this development, applicants are advised to visit the Council’s portal on www.port.nmcn.gov.ng to initiate online application for verification as a registered Nurses or registered midwife. The process involves three stages namely;

1. 1st Stage: The applicant uses his/her RN or RM number and email address to start the application for verification online.
2. 2nd State: payment of approved fee using card or netbanking online.
3. 3rd Stage: Filling of the application form and upload of the required document on the Council’s portal then submit.

Kindly note that applicants that have not completed their Professional Update Form on Council’s port cannot apply for online verification application until they have done so.

After successful online application and payment, feedback on the payment and application status will be sent to the applicant’s email once the application is successfully submitted.
