2022 ANNUAL LECTURE & INDUCTION CEREMONY

The Board of Trustees and the Council of the Nigerian Academy of Medicine hereby announce the 2022 Annual Lecture & Induction Ceremony of new Fellows. The Nigerian Academy of Medicine is a body registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission as an independent, dynamic and innovative national resource of excellence and expertise in medical sciences and healthcare. 

The topic of the Annual Lecture is "2023 and Beyond - Setting the Health Agenda for Nigeria" and will be delivered by a Foundation Fellow, Emeritus Professor NUM Briggs, FAS, FNAMed. The Induction Ceremony will witness the formal admission of 59 new Fellows, who are distinguished Medical Academics, for the years 2020, 2021 and 2021 intakes.

Venue: NAF Event Centre, Kado, Abuja

Date: Thursday, 29th September 2022

Time: 9:00am 

Presidential Candidates of all political parties have been invited and the topic of the Lecture has been deliberately chosen as the country looks forward to the 2023 National elections where new leaden should emerge to reposition the Health situation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. This has become imperative as the Health System in Nigeria as in a perilous state which is begging for urgent attention.
