The Management of Federal Medical Centre, Bida, Niger State hereby invites applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill the position of Director of Administration
Applicants must:
- 1. Hold a good first degree in Hospital/Health Services Management, Humanities, or Social Sciences from a recognized university or its equivalent.
- 2. Have not less than twenty (20) years of post-qualification experience in a government establishment.
- 3. Be currently serving within the Directorate cadre of a government establishment.
- 4. Possession of a Master's degree or any other relevant higher qualification is an added advantage.
- 5. Be a Fellow or Associate of the Institute of Health Service Administrators of Nigeria (IHSAN) or possess any other relevant professional certification.
- 6. Demonstrate ICT proficiency.
- 7. Have prior experience working within a hospital setting (added advantage).
- 8. Attach all relevant credentials to the application.
Responsibilities
The Director of Administration will report directly to the Medical Director and be responsible for general administration of the Hospital. Key duties include:
- Acting as Chief Administrative Adviser to the Medical Director and Secretary to the Board of Management.
- Managing the administration department of the Hospital.
- Participating in policy formulation, execution, and review as directed by the Medical Director or Board.
- Coordinating activities of all support departments.
- Managing official correspondence of the Board and maintaining hospital records.
Salary and Conditions of Service
Salary and conditions of service are in line with the approved Public Service salary structure for officers in this category.
Tenure
Appointment is effective from the date stated in the letter of appointment and includes any previously served time as Director in another Public Service organization. Tenure is subject to retirement age of sixty (60) years or thirty-five (35) years of service, whichever comes first.
