The Nurses induction is a process of receiving and welcoming the fresh Graduate Nurses into the nursing profession and it is the sole responsibility of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria to perform the induction and administer Oath of Allegiance to the Nurses during the ceremony.

In order to maintain standard in Nursing education and practice, the Board of the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria at its 52nd General Meeting held December, 2020 has directed that henceforth. President of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) be allowed to formerly welcome the newly inducted Nurses to the Professional Association during induction.

Therefore, it is important to mention that the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) is the mother of all nursing professional association as recognized by Law and permitted to address and welcome the inductees to the Professional Association during the induction.

Please give this Circular the seriousness it deserves and bring the content to the attention of all concerned.
