Job Description

  • To greet patients warmly when they arrive at the medical office, clinic or hospital.
  • Skillfully manages all but the most challenging customer situations and Knows when to ask for additional support from supervisor
  • Make, receive and answer telephone calls on behalf of the hospital, respond to and send faxes as at when and if required.
  • To gather information from patients upon patients' arrival completing data forms appropriately.
  • Responsible for all incoming and outgoing mails on behalf of the hospital.
  • Accurately registers a patient with the right information. Check patient’s record to ensure name tallies with Hospital number, Verifies Patient by asking for his/her Hospital Number and name.
  • Quickly address problems even with the most demanding customers and also Proactively inform customers of pending delays.
  • Keeps patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival; reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service delays.
  • Comforts patients by anticipating patients' anxieties; answering patients' questions; maintaining the reception area.
  • Ensures availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records where records officer is not on duty.
  • Give daily and weekly report to head of unit on customer feedback and daily job schedule.
  • Confirm patient eligibility the insurance company they are registered with.
  • Review referrals and authorizations.
  • Gets approval and authorization codes for patients before any treatment is carried out.
  • Maintains important documents, files, and records in an organized manner.
  • Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication
  • Responsible for providing information about the services and products of the Clinics when visitors make an enquiry.
  • Follow all regulations and guidelines set in the agreement between the health insurance companies and Nova Medi Clinic.

Qualification

  • Applicants who posses any of the following can apply:  OND/HND/BSc/BA/NCE (If Bsc or BA, applicant must be currently serving under NYSC)
  • We strongly encourage applicants around Maitama Abuja environs currently serving under NYSC to apply.

Experience / Requirements

  • Applicant must be computer literate / willing to work night shift on a rotation basis

Salary 

  • N50,000 Monthly (One year Internship role)
