Job Summary
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join their team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing pharmaceutical care, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
The pharmacist will also offer expert advice on the safe use of prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, ensuring patient safety and optimal health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Dispense Medications: Accurately prepare and distribute prescription and non-prescription medications to patients.
- Patient Counseling: Provide clear instructions on medication usage, possible side effects, and interactions with other drugs or food.
- Compliance and Regulations: Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage procurement, and prevent medication shortages or excesses.
- Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication therapy management.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular checks on medicines to ensure they meet safety and quality standards.
- Customer Service: Address patient inquiries, resolve concerns, and provide guidance on health and wellness.
- Health and Safety: Ensure a clean and safe pharmacy environment, following all health and safety protocols.
Education, Experience and Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (BPharm).
- Valid pharmacist license as per local regulatory authority is a plus
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a retail, pharmaceutical or hospital pharmacy setting is preferred.
Skills And Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical drugs and their interactions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
