Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant
Location: Maryland, Lagos
Job Description
- We are recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of a Pharmacy Assistant/Technician.
- The successful candidate will assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, and delivering excellent patient service.
- This role requires attention to detail, good organizational skills, and a strong commitment to accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing prescriptions accurately.
- Receive and confirm prescription orders from patients and healthcare providers.
- Count, label, and package medications according to prescription requirements.
- Maintain accurate patient records and update inventory systems.
- Ensure proper storage of medicines according to standard protocols.
- Assist in stock management—receiving, shelving, and monitoring expiry dates.
- Educate patients on basic medication usage and provide excellent customer service.
- Comply with all regulatory standards and pharmacy best practices.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the dispensary and pharmacy area.
- Support the pharmacist in any administrative or operational duties as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of medications and pharmacy practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficient in basic computer use and pharmacy software systems.
- Must be dependable, trustworthy, and customer-service oriented.
Salary
- N60,000 - N70,000 / month.
