Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician at Adia Hospital, you will join other pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, manage inventory, and provide excellent customer service to our patients.

You will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the pharmacy.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, including measuring, mixing, and labelling.
  • Accurately fill and label prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Maintain and manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, stocking, and organizing medications and supplies.
  • Provide information and assistance to patients regarding their medications, including dosage instructions and potential side effects.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and hospital policies regarding the handling and dispensing of medications.
  • Assist with the processing of insurance claims and patient billing inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions, including prescriptions filled, inventory levels, and patient information.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to patients and healthcare providers.

 

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role.
  • A diploma or certification in Pharmacy Technology or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Good knowledge of pharmaceutical practices, medical terminology, and drug interactions.
  • Proficient in using pharmacy software and technology for record-keeping and inventory management.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding the highest ethical standards.
