We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician

Location: Ode Remo, Ogun

Job Summary

• This role is responsible for dispensing medications and providing excellent counselling for the patients seen at our clinics.
• The pharmacy technician will also be responsible for maintaining adequate stocks of medications and ensuring medications are stored to preserve their quality.

Responsibilities

• Review and execute physician’s prescriptions checking their appropriateness and legality
• efficiently organize the pharmacy to make the identification of products easier and faster
• Maintain full control over delivering, stocking and labelling medicine and other products and monitor their condition to prevent expiring or deterioration
• Listen carefully to customers to interpret their needs and issues and offer information and advice
• Assist with other medical services such as injections, blood pressure/ temperature measurements, etc.
• Prepare medicine when appropriate using the correct dosages and material for each patient
• Keep records of patient history and all activities regarding heavy medication
• Keep abreast of advancements in medicine by attending conferences and seminars and collaborating with other healthcare professionals
• Comply with all applicable legal rules, regulations and procedures
• Carry other duties as assigned by the Head Nurse/HSE Manager.

Requirements

• B.Sc Pharmacy / Certificate of Pharmacy Technician is compulsory
• Registration with the Board of Pharmacy and a current practising license as a Pharmacy Technician is required.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working as a Pharmacy Technician.
• Ability to process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is accurate and complete.
• Ability to provide patient counselling (advising in multiple relevant languages is a plus).
• Familiarity with and ability to use technological tools including Microsoft Office suite of products and popular social media platforms.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Ability to communicate medical concepts in clear layman's language.
• Supply and inventory management skills.
• Good knowledge of dispensing commonly prescribed medications.

Salary

N100,000 - N130,000 Monthly.
