Fadac Resources and Services Limited - Our client is a leading FMCG group in Africa. They are into manufacturing of branded personal care products for the African market.

Due to expansion, they are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Production Manager

Location: Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Responsibilities

  • BOM Creation and Daily tracking of GC/Profit Margin
  • Production forecasting and Planning
  • Ensure Zero Line defect, High Quality and Low customer Complain
  • Keep detailed production logs using spreadsheets
  • Create Safe work Environment and enforce PPE Usage
  • Estimate costs and prepare budgets
  • Organize workflow to meet specifications and deadlines
  • Monitor production to resolve issues
  • Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel
  • Determine amount of necessary resources
  • Track machines maintenance schedule with the Technical Manager to ensure reduced chances of halt running in Production and optimise production efficiency
  • Ensure material issued by Warehouse follow FEFO Always
  • Maintain adherence to GMP / WHO production SOP
  • Collate and analyse data, putting together production reports for both factory managers and customers
  • Creating schedules of work for your team
  • Assist Human Resources with recruitment and training of new employees
  • Complete performance appraisals annually
  • Review worker performance and identify training needs
  • Coach employees
  • Communicate any relevant company information and updates to procedures to personnel
  • Enforce rules and regulations
  • Handle conflict resolution and performance management with support of Human Resources team
  • Ensure workplace is safe and clean through task delegation and educating personnel.
  • Train personnel on new equipment and review all equipment and safety procedures based on necessity and scheduled reviews.

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Food Technology, Biochemistry, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience.
  • Possess good engineering knowledge
  • Strong knowledge of production management
  • Understanding of quality standards and health & safety regulations
  • Knowledge of performance evaluation and budgeting concepts
  • Experience in reporting on key production metrics
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP software
  • Outstanding communication ability
  • Excellent organizational and leaderships skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong decision-making skills and a results-driven approach
  • Be available to take phone calls in the early morning or evening.
