Job Title: Quality Improvement Consultant for Training of Trainers (ToT)

Location: Niger

Overview

  • The Center for Clinical Care and Clinical Research (CERN) is seeking a qualified Quality Improvement Consultant to conduct a Training of Trainers (ToT) session for 38 highly motivated technical staff.
  • The training aims to enhance the capacity of our team members in quality improvement methodologies, equipping them with the necessary skills to effectively train and support ACE4 project activities in Niger State.
  • The ToT session will take place in the last week of March 2024.

Scope of Work

The selected Quality Improvement Consultant will be responsible for:

  • Designing a comprehensive ToT curriculum tailored to the needs of our technical project staff.
  • Delivering engaging and interactive training sessions focused on quality improvement methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Providing hands-on guidance and support to participants in applying quality improvement principles to their project activities.
  • Facilitating group discussions, exercises, and case studies to reinforce learning and encourage knowledge sharing.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of the training and providing recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience in delivering quality improvement training sessions, preferably in the context of public health or development projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality improvement methodologies, tools, and approaches.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and create a participatory learning environment.
  • Relevant educational background in public health, health systems strengthening, or a related field.
  • Possess at least 5 years’ expertise implementing QI initiatives, especially in healthcare organizations and HIV/AIDS programs

Timeline and Deliverables

  • The ToT session is scheduled to take place in the last week of March 2024.
  • The consultant will be expected to deliver a detailed curriculum and training materials before the training and provide a post-training report highlighting key outcomes and recommendations for follow-up activities.
  • By the end of the training, participants should demonstrate proficiency in basic QI methods such as Plan-Do-Study-Act cycles, root cause analysis, process mapping, and using run charts and control charts for data over time.
