Responsibilities and Duties

Performing Radiographic Procedures:

• Radiographers operate various imaging equipment, including X-ray machines, to take images of the body for diagnostic purposes.

 

Patient Care:

• They prepare patients for imaging procedures, explain the process, and provide reassurance and support.

 

Image Quality:

• Radiographers ensure that images are of high quality, adjusting settings and positioning patients to achieve optimal results.

 

Radiation Safety:

• They are responsible for ensuring patient and staff safety by minimizing radiation exposure during procedures.

 

Equipment Maintenance:

• Radiographers maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring it is in good working order.

 

Collaboration:

• They work closely with physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
