Job Title: Sales & Business Development Manager

Location: Yaba, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Description  

  • We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Sales & Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele and increase sales. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy.
  • The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with existing and new clients.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  • Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales target
  • Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  • Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  • Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  • Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  • Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  • Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  • Providing pre-sales & after-sales technical assistance, product education to clients on microbiological/analytical/quality control/environmental monitoring products and equipment.
  • Generating Sales Inquiries and responding to Request For Quotes and inquiries from Clients.
  • Meeting regular sales targets and coordinating sales projects;
  • Supporting marketing activities by attending trade shows, conferences, and other marketing events;
  • Starting up, maintaining, calibrating, testing, and troubleshooting a wide variety of laboratory Instruments, Quality Control Instruments, and industrial instruments.
  • Develop entry-level staff into valuable salespeople
  • Extensive travel within and outside Lagos

Requirements and Skills

  • BSc / HND in Sciences (Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry/Physics / Biochemistry / Microbiology)
  • Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
  • Proven sales track record
  • Experience in customer support
  • Customer facing ability
  • Meeting and exceeding deadlines and targets
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software
  • Proficiency in English
  • Market knowledge
  • Communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build rapport
  • Time management and planning skills
  • Able to quickly assimilate new technical knowledge and interested in building a career with a growth-oriented company.
  • Commercial acumen and the ability to promote a technical solution as a value-for-money exercise
  • Computer literacy, especially with regard to modern scientific user interfaces, document and presentation preparation and report writing.
