In her bid to provide world class healthcare efficiently and cost effectively with 'compassion and faith', Shawsand Medical Center has trained her Doctors and Nurses in Basic and Advanced Life Support Course (BLS & ACLS) 

The training organized by Medicalworld Nigeria held at the hospital premises located on Km 14 Aba/Port Harcourt Expressway, Eleme Junction, Port Harcourt, Rivers state. The course provided a prime opportunity to expand the knowledge base, clinical competency, and proficiency of the participants. 

The course content covered skills needed to manage BLS and ACLS cases with practical sessions on AED use, CPR, Manual Defibrillation, Pacing, Synchronized Cardioversion, Airway management and Intra Osseous Cannulation etc 

At the end of the course, participants appreciated being on top of changing industry standards and clinical practice guidelines. 

Dr Roseline who spoke at the end of the course expressed delight and described the course as invaluable. she added that the course was “made easy to understand, gave me confidence.” She thanked the hospital management for prioritizing training and development in the workplace.
