Job Title: Sonographer
Location: Ojo, Lagos

Job Summary
The Sonographer is responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations to assist physicians in the diagnosis and management of medical conditions.
The role requires technical expertise, patient care skills, and adherence to clinical, ethical, and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations (e.g., abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, pelvic, vascular, small parts, and musculoskeletal as applicable).
- Accurately prepare patients for procedures by explaining examinations and ensuring comfort and privacy.
- Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively to obtain high-quality images.
- Analyze images and identify abnormalities for review by the radiologist or referring physician.
- Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and archiving of images and findings.
- Maintain ultrasound equipment and report any technical issues promptly.
- Adhere to infection control, radiation safety, and patient confidentiality standards.
- Work collaboratively with radiologists, physicians,and other healthcare staff.
- Comply with professional, ethical, and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Professional certification / licensure from a recognized regulatory body (where applicable).
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a clinical or diagnostic setting (preferred).
- Proficiency in performing a range of ultrasound examinations.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, pathology, and ultrasound physics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High level of professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
