Job Title: Sonographer

Location: Agungi, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

 

Job Summary

• The Sonographer will perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations to support physicians in diagnosing and managing patient conditions.
• This position requires strong technical ability, excellent patient-care skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct high-quality ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, gynecologic, vascular, and emergency scans (based on competency).
• Prepare and position patients properly to obtain optimal imaging results.
• Collaborate closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and emergency staff to support prompt diagnosis.
• Review images for accuracy and ensure proper documentation in the hospital’s electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Maintain and operate ultrasound machines, ensuring equipment safety and functionality.
• Assist in urgent and emergency ultrasound procedures as needed (e.g., ER, ICU, maternity).
• Uphold hospital standards for infection control, patient safety, and quality assurance.
• Provide clear explanations to patients to reduce anxiety and enhance comfort.

Qualification

• Diploma or Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, Radiography, or related field.
• Valid professional certification or license (as required by local regulations).
• Minimum 1–3 years’ experience working in a hospital or busy clinical setting.
• Strong proficiency with ultrasound imaging techniques.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-care skills.

Salary

• N200,000 - N230,000 Monthly.
