The Management of Federal Teaching Hospital, Owerri, Imo State is inviting applications from interested and suitably qualified candidates to fill the prestigious position of Chief Medical Director/CEO.

Requirements:
Interested candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Must be a Medical or Dental Practitioner registered with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with not less than twelve (12) years post-qualification experience.
- Must possess a current practicing license from MDCN.
- Must be a Fellow of either the National Postgraduate Medical College of Nigeria, West African Postgraduate Medical College, or an equivalent recognized by MDCN.
- Must have been a Consultant for a minimum of five (5) years.
- Must be medically fit (attach evidence).
- Must be of proven good character and integrity.
- Evidence of medical research is an added advantage.
- Administrative qualifications and experience are added advantages.
- Knowledge of ICT is an added advantage.
- Attraction of funded grants by the candidate is an added advantage.
Responsibilities:
- The Chief Medical Director is the Head/Chief Executive of the institution.
- Accountable to the Board of Management and the Coordinating Minister of Health & Social Welfare.
- Responsible for the execution of policies and day-to-day management of the hospital.
Salary and Allowances:
Remuneration will be in accordance with the Public Service Salary Structure for this category of officers.

The Curriculum Vitae must include the names and addresses of three (3) referees, one of whom must be a Senior Medical or Dental Practitioner with not less than twenty (20) years post-qualification experience, capable of attesting to the candidate’s academic, professional, managerial abilities, and moral character.
Referees must send sealed recommendation letters directly to the hospital.
